Understanding requires a common language whether it is between people or between computers. The following languages of color specification and languages of computer file formats facilitate communication between customer and manufacturer.

COLOR

Pantone Matching System* (PMS) is the color specification standard for screen printing and painting of acrylic plastic.

Process color - percentages of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (CMYK) is a color specification standard for digital printing and electronic art.

Acrylic Polyurethane (MAP or Grip Gard) is a material specification standard for painting metal including aluminum.

Note:
Color matches can vary due to many factors including humidity level, viscosity of ink, different production runs and application of ink onto different substrates. The specification of a PMS color to be applied onto acrylic plastic or onto a metal surface may slightly vary when compared to the same PMS color which is printed on white coated paper stock. The compatibility of coating material with material to be coated is critical to the production of a quality sign product.
